Memorial Day

On this Memorial Day weekend our thoughts are drawn to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and for the freedom we enjoy as Americans. Thank you to all those who have served, are serving, and to all of their family members who support or supported their service. May God bless each of you and may God bless America!

There is great truth in the saying "Freedom isn't free".

We took a trip to the National Cathedral in honor of Memorial Day. Phyllis took this photo of the beautiful tapestry made in honor of our military members.

May America remain the land of the free!

Happy Mothers' Day!

Happy Mothers' Day!!!!!

As Abraham Lincoln once said, "God bless my mother;... all I am I owe to her."

Phyllis took the picture above in honor of our mothers and mothers everywhere. It was taken yesterday in the National Herb Garden at the National Arboretum in Washington DC.

MS Walk - Thank You For Your Support!

THANK YOU to everyone who so kindly supported us in our efforts to raise money for the fight against multiple sclerosis (MS)!

We attended the Antietam Battlefield walk on April 22, 2006. Unfortunately, due to thunderstorms, the walking part of the walk got cancelled at the last minute. However, thanks to your generosity, we were still able to turn in donations totalling $740.00! We are hopeful that a cure for MS will be found in our liftime.

THANK YOU for your support!!!

Baby Ducks

Eleven baby ducks! The mother duck is always nearby her ducklings when we see them. She's quite protective of them and was herding them away as this photo was taken.

Happy Mother's day to mothers everywhere!

Phyllis took this picture last week at Burba Lake on Fort Meade.

May God bless you!
